B2L is proud to announce the launch of its brand new look! As many of you know we’ve been working on a huge overhaul of the B2L theme over the last week and with a few set backs from the original date its finally here for all to enjoy.

Our aim with a new look was to revitalise the community, improve site navigation, make the site more vibrant and to highlight site posts. We’ve also tried to follow current trends on our posts by implementing images into our index which make the reading experience a more visual one

What Was The Reason For The New Design?

To celebrate the huge amount of interest generated from Word Press’d our first free Wordpress theme release we thought it was time to break away from the old design. As nice as the old theme was our thoughts were that it was slightly cluttered with images especially above ‘the fold’, that the colours used were quite dull and the layout was beginning to look a little outdated.

With the redesign we wanted to just cut out the ‘crap’. If its not important to B2L or its users we removed it. We also wanted to brighten up the website and make it more visually attractive for all visitors and we hope the new look will improve the experience you have here at B2L

What’s New?

With the redesign we’ve left no rock unturned (as I’m sure you may have noticed) and have redesigned every aspect of B2L from the logo to the comments.

Here is a short run down of all the new things on the site:

New Logo

Blog2Life has been heavily re-branded thanks to the huge help of imanto a friend and great graphic designer (do check out his site when you get a chance).

As you can see the new logo is quite a contrast from our old logo when you compare the two and you can see that the old logo now looks extremely outdated!

New Slogan

You may have also noticed that we have given B2L a new slogan, while the old slogan explained what B2L is all about we believe it was just too long and our new slogan “Bring You Blog2Life” still implies what we are dedicated to doing here at B2L but also allows us to broaden our horizons.

Improved Post Images

We were running index images on our old theme for most of our posts but the new theme incoroporates better utilisation of that code and means there will always be an image shown which will reduce post variation.

Other improvements include

• Less adverts
• Easier navigation
• Quicker load times
• Easy bookmarking

New Website Features

The kick off the new look we are going to be starting some new post series, spotlights and have some new ways for you to get your link featured on B2L.

Tip Of The Week

One of our newest post series is “Tip of the week” in which we will be posting a great bunch of tips to get your blog looking great, loading more quickly and some great plug-ins and features all bloggers should have. We will be posting a new tip every week so make sure you come back regularly.

Weekly Article Spotlight

Each week we shall be featuring a post from one of our readers related to blogging and the blogsphere that we feel can help benefit your blog. Each week we ask you to submit the post in question and each week one of those posts will be selected.

Featured Top Entrecard Droppers

We are now running a dedicated section of the sidebar to those who drop their card on a regular basis. As you can see the top overall droppers will be featured here on B2L and they will remain there until they are knocked off by someone who builds up more overall drops. So if you are an entrecard member don’t forget to come back and drop your card regularly.

Final Note

To draw this quite lengthy post to an end we would just like to say that we hope you like the new design for blog2life. We also welcome any comments and criticism on the theme (your entitled and encouraged to express your opinions here on B2L).

We also welcome any bugs or errors you may stumble across while on the site and would be hugely grateful if you could drop us a quick note of what the error is and where it is happening. As you may know its so hard to spot your own errors.
