I feel that now is the time to show you a mock up of the new theme, Boxy, and to get your thoughts and feedback on it so I can go on yo develop and finalise the theme. I cannot however show you what a single page/post will look like as of yet as I am still working on this.
What I can show you though is an almost complete mock up of the front page (or index)..

Ok, let’s not delay any longer, here is what the new theme will look like:
So there it is.. But before you go there are a few things I’d really appreciate you giving some feedback one. But feel free to add extra if I’ve missed anything..
Thing’s You Should Know
Ok a few points to know before you grill me 
- The quick links box on the side will be transparent and will become completely opaque on hovering (I hope) and this box is only visible to the Admin (id=1)
- The sidebar will break into 2 after the large blocks, these will be widgetised. I have not shown this on this release.
- The top advert can be reduced to a smaller size or removed.
- The 6 smaller boxes are different because I want to know which you prefer.
- The font is just tahoma (It will be a nice font on the real theme). Thanks desu

Ok here are a few short questions about the theme:
- Do you like the new theme?
- Are there any area’s you don’t like?
- Of the 6 smaller boxes which display do you prefer? (They are numbered 1 - 6, top row left to right 1, 2, 3 and bottom 4, 5, 6)
- Would you prefer categories or tags to be shown on the theme?
- Do you like the items that are shown in the footer?
- Would the quick links box be useful to you?
- Any other things you would like to add?

this new theme is simply superb, i cant ask for more (when i get this much free of cost)
i think 2nd box (2nd in top row) looks nice, is it possible to add those quotation mark from 4th box (1st in bottom row) to this box?
and i would like to see Category rather then tags on theme. footer looks perfect, but can i change item of footer if i want too?,
one more question. i like that cute little subscription widget. will that remain on final release, or it is for illustration only?

Answers to question first.
1. I like the general looks but not magazine format. Will there be option for usual layout?
2. I don’t like top banner. It can be useful for those who want to monetize but if it removed it leaves bunch of totally unused space. I get a feeling that it’s not optional but that layout was made around it.
RSS subscription area feels cluttered.
Random posts area seems too big and prominent for random content.
3. 2 or 6 if line below title is removed.
4. I don’t really see place for either on such home page.
5. Not really… As long as I can change to what I need at moment it’s fine.
6. No. Anything admin-only is not needed and shouldn’t be included in theme.
I think it’s bit too wide. Good for widescreens but doesn’t fit in 1024×768.
And header eats lots of height for no value. As it is only main post and tiny part of others are visible.
Sidebar seems too thin to split in two.
Shadow to give it layered feel is too subtle. You have to look for it to feel it.
And it’s not square! 
I mean it’s called square theme but there is not a single one square block used.

Atlast, The theme Looks Great to me…
1. The quick links box is great on the left side and i like it.(but i am not going to use it anyway-just my opinion)
2. Great to have a three column theme
3. what about the theme width ? fixed or fluid ?
4. It’s Great to Know that the Top Advert can be Reduced to a smaller size.
5. Regarding the six smaller boxes- I prefer the box 2 (It will look nice if you add the category on the left of the date)
6. The footer is very nice and suberb
7. can you make a line throughout the width of the theme in the footer above the “Boxy designed by blog2life” section ? so that if we add copyright information it will look so nice.(just as blog2life footer)
8. I prefer “Categories” to show always in the theme but not “tags”.
9. why there are two “Popular” in the tab section.
10. Two RSS Images.(leave the big one there with the link to the feed and remove the small rss button).
11. Can you make a title for the subscription box as “Subscribe in a reader or through e-mail”
12. a featured post section is needed above that first post.it will be great to show it by using just the post number.(if we include the post number of the post which we think (or to make it a) featured post then they should appear)
below that we can have the latest post.(great to see if both post are labelled as “featured” and “latest”)
13. Make sure that the description of the blog(if it is long) will not collide with the advert.
14. It will be great to make some design on both sides in the black area.
15. It is also great to see 4 widgets in the footer instead of 3(a lot of space is free there).

Looks awsome Jamie. Looking forward to it. As for suggestions I’ve got only one and it is always the same - dark colours, dark background for the post Maybe possibility to switch colours for user/admin.

Yep, for personal blog, I don’t quite like using a magazine style theme.. Just wondering, if only a blog style would be available.
Hm… I think it might look nice as a 3-column design? What do you think?

I’m not a fan of the magazine style layout. I didnt like the theme personally. It looks kind of busy to me. I’m more into simplified type of design. I love your Word Press’d Theme. However, I’m sure that Boxy will find its niche and potential lovers, eventually.
I just came here and therefore your question (Do you like the new theme?) is above my potency to answer, but what I see now looks quite good. What’s the most important here are the comments under your posts. It means you have the audience that make your texts the dialogue. The last is a dream of many - Therefore I am proud of joining you.
The font looks awful, and the logo could use some love too, other than that i lokk sfine to me.
