Blog2Life Out Of Google Sandbox, Are You?

I have read about Google sandboxing and have had first hand experience at being stuck in that sandbox, well at least now I know I was part of that sandbox but it looks like the worst may be over here at B2L. I have recently noticed a vast increase in not only my blog indexing but I have had an exponential growth in the number of people being directed to my blog over the last week.

Here is a screen shot of the visitors via Google over the last couple of months since our re-launch..

As you can see in the last week I’ve received my highest volume of visitors from Google yet on a single day topping at just over 20 in comparison to 6 the day before and 4 the day before that.

My running average number of visitors (from Google) since the site relaunch up until 7th of June is just 3 per day, so this is a huge jump.

What Is Google Sandbox And Does It Effect Other Sites?

On further investigation into ‘The Google Sandbox’ I came across several different articles looking at the this problem and it appears I am one of a huge number sites that have had this happen to them..

Google Sandbox - new sites taking ages to get hits! - www.bytestart.co.uk

The theory is that Google indexes new sites within days, but does not assign new sites with ranking points until many months after they’ve gone live. This, presumably, is to deter spammers and others from gaining quick and easy search engine referrals.

We have a good reason to believe there is a “sandbox”. Bytestart first went live last July. We received maybe 10 or so referrals a day from Google.com and Google.co.uk for many months. However, after 8 months, these numbers suddenly rocketed to around 400+ per day. Touch wood, this number has stayed and grown for the last month… We’ve heard similar things from many other small business site owners, so there must be an element of truth in it [...]

Who does Google Sandbox?

It is thought Google sandboxes all new websites and in particular those that are using Adsense within new websites to generate some money.

Why Is Google Sandboxing

Well newly launched websites that feature advertisements straight away could be ringing alarm bell’s for google’s indexing and could potentially be a spam or blam (blogspam) websites out for one thing, money!

While the vast majority of sites are genuine users trying to make a small amount of money online in their spare time there are those that will do anything to exploit any system and Google search and Google advertising, an area in which so much money and traffic is up for grabs, is a prime target for spammers.

Though it means your new blog may not be properly indexed for a long period.. it may be in our own best interests that google is sandboxing a large proportion new websites and specifically targetting all those that are running advertisement codes from the second they launch their websites. Spam is already a huge problem online you only need to check your email in box or for those bloggers out there your askimnet profile to know what I’m talking about and if these sites were given instant access to google indexing spam would not only be rife but you could find your own content cropping up on these sites and them jumping in to high keyword positions before Google has the chance to blacklist them.

The several months allows Google to protect all of us from these websites and allows us to continue getting highly targeted and accurate search results with reliable, trusted sites and quality content.

So How Or When Will I Be De-Sandboxed?

There is no way of knowing when your site will be removed from the Google sandbox but in that short while take your time getting some quality content on your website and making sure you do all your last finishing touches to the layout and other aspects of your site.

There may be triggers to being removed from the sandbox based on how many back links you are receiving from other websites and how many of those are highly reputable websites. It may also be based on how much traffic you receive over that period.

Could It Be Back Link Or Traffic Related?

I have received around 6000 page views in the last week and a half due the the launch of our first Wordpress theme, Word Press’d, and have received an overwhelming number of back links from some highly read Wordpress blogging and theme related websites. Along side that is a huge increase of links from the Wordpress theme showing a link on every page of the blogs using it.

This huge increase in traffic and back links from many websites of high and low quality maybe be trigger for Google to get my site in the indexing as I am now proving that the content on my site is liked by an increasing number of people and is receiving high levels of traffic making B2L part of google’s high quality search results.

In all cases this is impossible to prove and we are left to ponder over work arounds and solutions to any problem.

Any Possible Work Arounds?

Some of the best possible thought’s on avoiding this problem were to mae your site 4-6 months before you really want to launch it in google.

Post high quality content on your wesbite.

To avoid advertising on your website at the start of your journey and instead focus on content and readers until you know google is indexing you. This may prevent your website being flagged as a ‘possible spam or blam’ site and get you indexed more quickly.

i hope i also get out of google sandbox soon, i am currently focusing on making friend circle bigger and posting good stuff and thanks you just gave me idea to make blog design better
